Tech Team Trainers
Instructor: Tech Team Trainers
Alliance Public Schools is implementing a program in which tech team trainers in each building will assist staff with technology questions and issues.   Each building has staff that are tech team trainers, and each trainer will have a staff group to assist.   Tech team trainers participate in TTT meetings as well as any district wide technology trainings to help them teach other staff.

Twitter Hashtags
Do you have a Twitter account and just don't know how to use it?  Are you like me and haven't ever found a good use for your Twitter account?

I have finally learned some hashtags that I like as well as found a few people from those hashtags that I am now following.  I have learned some great techy information from Twitter in the last few weeks!

Go to this link to find some great educational hashtags that you might want to try out and see if Twitter might be of use for you in your professional development journey!

School Fusion fun!
I was beefing up my School Fusion page today and someone told me that you can change the background! Who knew? So, you want to know how?
Go into your School Fusion Profile. Pick a class page. Click on Edit Configurations. Scroll all the way down until you see "Edit Background and Sound." Click on this and then there's a drop box to pick your background. I have Jelly Beans for Easter :)
Once you pick a design, click Save and you're ready to go!
You can also have a sound play when your page is opened. I personally like the Gilligan's Island theme.
Enjoy!

Thanks to Tina Cope for submitting this great idea!

NWEA Knowledge Academy

NWEA Knowledge Academy online courses offer all staff members in your district the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of assessment data. Available courses:

.

MAP® Basics  -  This course is designed to give participants an overview of the basics of the MAP system in order to develop a grounding in NWEA assessments.

What Every Teacher Needs to Know about MAP  -  Designed for teachers, this course provides an overview of how MAP data relates to the classroom. It will prompt teachers to begin to think about how the data from the MAP assessment can be used to inform their instruction.

Reports Basics for the Teacher  -  This course, designed for teachers, provides instruction on how to access the NWEA Reports Site and the different types of reports available online. The course allows teachers to become self-sufficient in obtaining and utilizing the data on their MAP reports.

MAP for All Seasons - This entry-level course is intended to complement the MAP Administration Training by focusing on logistical information for MAP team members in preparation for testing. This course is designed to assist in the training of new staff members added since your MAP Administration Training, and as a refresher to support you in your ongoing work.
